i guess since the album is up and the new EP is in works i’ll post something a little more personal here in the in-between. i’ve had a new job in the bronx for a few months now working with the fund for conductive education (a method of instruction developed by a hungarian scientist in the 19th century to allow people with developmental disabilities/other challenges to express themselves on a larger scale) teaching music and composition on an instinctual level with very little focus on theory and some performance with the aid of loopers and it’s been really great and i have a main client named jenny g who is 24 years old and in a wheelchair and has some challenges speaking/functioning but loves music and sam cooke and singing and here’s a cell phone recording of us together (me on guitar, her on vocals) improvising a psychedelic dirge and i hope you all like it. i’ll be helping her recording an album in the fall when i get back to columbia and maybe i’ll use their studio that would be cool.
